For parents

Why should I send my child to CY?

For young people in today’s world it’s as important as ever to have people you can trust that can be a voice of wisdom and guidance in their lives. CY aims to help young people explore the life, joy and freedom of the Christian faith in a safe and welcoming environment.

Clovelly Youth has been running since 2013 and it aims to be a place for young people in years 6-12 to enjoy community, fun, explore questions and see why Jesus matters for their life and for the world.

What happens?

Every Friday during school term we have dinner at 6:30pm ($5), we run engaging activities, we hear a talk from the Bible and have a chance to discuss what it means in small groups. We're all finished by 9pm.

Why Include Year 6?

At the end of term 4 every year we invite kids who are about to commence year 6 the following year to join CY. Here's why...

  1. CY is a chance to feel more grown up and get to know older teens as they begin their teenage years.

  2. CY is a community to belong to where relationships can be maintained and new ones formed before all the changes occur during their first year at high school.

  3. CY is a place to talk through some of those issues and to CY Jesus matters for their life with Christian leaders you can trust.

All our leaders have current Working with Children check numbers and have completed safe ministry training via the Anglican Church.
